Unlike the standard military-issued examples commonly encountered, this revolver appears to be a commercial/private officer purchase variant manufactured at Saint-Étienne with commercial proof markings.
This example retains approximately 97%+ original arsenal-applied finish with excellent overall preservation throughout. The revolver exhibits sharp edges, crisp machining lines, and no visible pitting or corrosion. The original grips remain in excellent condition and the revolver has an outstanding untouched appearance rarely seen on surviving examples of this model.
Mechanically, the revolver appears fully functional with excellent timing and tight cylinder lock-up.
