Chambered in the unique 8x22mm Nambu cartridge, the Type 14 was the standard service pistol of Japanese forces from the 1920s through the end of WWII.
This early-production Type 14 displays excellent overall condition for its age, retaining approximately 85% original blue finish with honest handling wear and minor imperfections consistent with nearly a century of history. The pistol has excellent character while still presenting very well as a collectible example. The original grips are in outstanding condition, rated approximately 95%, with no visible cracks or major damage.
Mechanically, this Nambu features the classic recoil-operated design with smooth operation and proper function. The pistol retains its original configuration, including the distinctive Type 14 features such as the small trigger design, wood grips, and 8-round magazine.
