Up for sale is an extremely scarce and desirable Antique Swedish Model 1887 Nagant Revolver chambered in 7.5x22mm Swedish. This revolver was manufactured by Nagant in Belgium prior to Husqvarna taking over larger-scale production for Sweden. Serial number 2715 places this example among the very early production revolvers.
This revolver is a true federally exempt antique manufactured in 1888 and qualifies as an Antique firearm under U.S. federal law.
Included is the original Swedish officer holster. The “L” marking on the right side indicates Swedish military issue. The revolver remains fully functional with matching frame serial numbers. As common on Belgian-made examples, the cylinder and cylinder pin are unnumbered from the factory.
Condition is very good overall for a 140+ year old military revolver. The metal retains attractive original rust/heat blue finish with honest edge wear from age and service use only. No signs of abuse or heavy corrosion. The bore is very good with strong rifling. Grips are original and remain solid and intact.
A major advantage to this revolver is that ammunition is still commercially available. Fiocchi 7.5 Swiss ammunition is compatible with these revolvers, making this an excellent collector and shooter example.
